Winter Wishes at Clear It Out Challenge #55

Is anyone excited for snow? I live in the
south and we don't get snow too often.
When we do, I'm like a kid, I love snow!
So this challenge is perfect.
I created a shaker card. I used so much glitter
the shaker was bulging! LOL
I did something a little different by
putting this adorbs digi by
on top of the shaker. She is so cute, I don't want
her covered up!

The papers I used are Echo Park Happy Holidays
Presents and Journaling, the backsides.
I colored little Miss Rory with Copics
and used Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles
to cut all the layers.

Snow,Snow,Snow at Simply Create Too Challenge Blog

Has it snowed where you are? As of this
post it hasn't snowed in my neck of the woods!
Which makes me sad! Because I love snow!
So I was really excited to come up with
some inspiration for this challenge!
Well, I hope it inspires you.

I made two cards for this challenge.
The first one is a 1 on the easy scale.
Layer cardstock, emboss silver foil
paper, add pearls and sentiment.
Quick and easy but I feel packs a

The second card is using only white! It's a 2 on the easy scale.
I say a two only because there's a lot of die cutting, punching, glittering,
and pop dotting!
(If that's even a word)
So just emboss the base card stock, die cut fence using
Cottage Cutz Mini Fence, I used the grass upside down
for icicles and added glitter. I hand punched the trees
with Fiskars Punch and used glitter on a few on them.
Used Fiskars Wavy Paper Edger to create a landscape.
Finished off with Queen & Co.Pearls

So now it's your turn to show us your take
on Snow,Snow,Snow!

Thirty Dollar Trees......

Good Morning, everyone! Yesterday I was in the market
for a Christmas Tree for my dining room. I knew I didn't
want a big tree and I knew I didn't want to pay a big
price for it either! So, I headed to Walmart
in search of the perfect tree! I know what you're thinking and
yes it would help if the trees were displayed with a little
more care. However, don't walk away so fast!
Because I'm going to show you how I used a $30
Christmas tree yesterday!
Let's keep a running tally of my expenses below!

Holiday Time Non-Lit 6 Ft Flocked Tree. Not a bad looking
tree in this picture, right?
I found this tree to be very easy to assemble
but a bit messy. That's to be expected with flocked trees.
Next comes the clear lights. I used 400 lights on this tree.
Purchased at Walmart for $2.50 a box.

I then wrapped the tree in burlap. Now Walmart has
burlap in the Christmas section but I went back to
the Floral area and bought a roll because it's cheaper.
Now comes the ornaments and again I'm creating this tree on
budget but I wanted it to have that WOW factor.
So I purchased 12 themed ornaments, one container of 50 plastic
ornaments, and 3 packs of glittered ornaments.
Final touch, flocked branches. You could
leave this off but I love the look. I already had
a tree skirt in my arsenal of Christmas decor.  And here is the final
product! And I'm over the moon for this tree!
Scroll down to see the bottom line on this tree!

Christmas Tree ~ $30
4 Sets of Lights(400 Lights) ~ $10
Burlap ~ $5
9 Themed Ornaments ~ $18
3 Themed Ornaments ~ $5
1 container of 50 Ornaments ~ $16
3 packs of Glittered Ornaments ~$9
3 flocked branches bundles ~ $18
$120.00 w/tax

Seeing Three - Clear It Out Challenge #53 ~ Number Challenge

Today is the start of a new challenge over at
This week we are seeing three's!
Use three of the same thing on your project.
(ie. 3 images, 3 embellies, etc)
Three of the same thing is a fantastic way to
get rid of that stash! You know it's time to
let it go! I know, it's tough, but you can do it!
I had the pleasure of using Baby Bears Butterfly Digi
over at Whimsy Stamps
I made a card using three different
design papers by Martha Stewart, it's so old I don't
remember the name of it!
I punched three butterflies and three pennants.
I added three pearls to each butterfly.

Our sponsor this week:

Now it's your turn! Hop over to
Remember, use three of the same thing.
And while you're there show the ladies

AntiLock Brakes and Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #81

Today brings another fabtabulous sketch
Here's the card I finally decided on! There's a story there!

Yesterday I had a whole day in my craft room! And
I was ready or at least I thought I was. So I grab my
coffee, do some blogging, commenting, social media,
you know the rounds, right?
Okay, time to get my craft on! Wrong!
My brain slammed on the brakes and would not
ease up, my brain was like a car without antilock brakes!
I made three cards(well some would
say that) before I came up with the Winter Wonderland
that is above! I wasn't happy with anything I was
producing. Ever have a day like that?
So for your entertainment I added the other
"cards" below!

So now that you heard about the crafting day
that almost was you can
and join the fun!
While your there sprinkle some love
on the other ladies and their inspirational designs!

Don't Get Underwear for Christmas!

I have to tell you, when I saw this
Digital Stamp over at
I had to have it!

There are so many things you could do
with this but here's my take on it!
Love, Love, Love it! It's too fabtabulous!
All I did was use the Panties Digi and enlarged it
to make the card base, printed it twice so I could pop
the lacy edges up and of course add glitter.
The paper is Jillibean Soup Christmas Eve Chowder
Frozen Haddock and Bite Size Bits.
Die cut the sentiment and added pop dots!

I added the sentiment inside that reads
"Don't get underwear for Christmas!".

Give Thanks at Simply Create Too Challenge Blog

Challenge #74 ~ Give Thanks/Thank You

This week over at Simply Create Too
I created two cards for this challenge.
My first card is very CAS using Lawn Fawns
So Thankful Stamp Set colored with copics and
patterned with gel pen.
I'm really loving the pumpkins and I understand
their not everyone's slice of pie. And that's
okay. That's what makes this world great!
 I'm entering this card into:

So moving onto my second card I used Spellbinders
Labels One cut three different sizes from
October Afternoon Apple Cider
and The Paper Studio Cream Cardstock, folded the largest
size in half for card base, then layered the other two,
stamped with Memento Ink, and added Queen & Co. Pearls.
Now it's your turn! Hop on over to
and show us how you Give Thanks!
And while you're there shower the
Design Team with some crafty love!

Gearing Up For Winter at Clear It Out Challenge #52

It's time for another fabtastic challenge over
This weeks challenge #52 is a WINTER theme and
Remember, Clear It Out is about using what you have!

Our sponsor this is week Bugaboo Stamps

I had the pleasure of using Bugaboo ~ Winter Birds Trio
digi stamp. If you are familiar with Bugaboo you know how
wonderfully cute they are. If you're not, I highly recommend
you check them out!
So here's the card I made. While I was making it
I couldn't get the episode of The Big Bang Theory out
of my head. The one where Dr. Sheldon Cooper says....
"I wish you all could be inside my head. The conversation
is sparkling."
I used lots of glitter and shimmer for
a wonderful winter feel, adding the brads that look like
screws as my metal embellishments.
I hope you enjoy and will hop over to Clear It Out Challenge
to join us! While you are there checkout the amazing

To The Stars at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #80

It's time for another sketch over at
Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

I'm a firm believer that the fun you have
shines through on your projects and I had lots of
fun with this one.

I cut stars using Fancy Pants Memories Captured 12x12 Papers
on my BigKick using Bigz Stars #2.
Popped them up on The Paper Studio Cream
Cardstock, stamped the stars and sentiment
using Lawn Fawn ~ Lucky Stars Stamp Set.
I'm entering this card into:

Okay, here's Sketch #80, now show us your
take on it! We can't wait to see what you

My second card is using Authentique's Favorite Collection
to make this card. The glitter paper is Martha Stewart cut
with Sizzix Framelits ~ Swirls. Added Recollection
flowers and stamped the sentiment using
Memento Ink ~ Tuxedo Black. Distressed the edges using
Tim Holtz Distress Ink ~ Tea Dye.
