Absinthe Fairy with Crafty Gals Corner Challenge Blog

It's Hump Day and that means new challenge over at  CRAFTY GALS CORNER CHALLENGE BLOG "THINGS WITH WINGS"

We have a great sponsor this week:

Offering 3 Digital Images to the Winner

I'm not really too much into Fairies unless she is green and flying from the turret on
Cinderella's Castle during the Wishes Fireworks. But when I saw the Absinthe Fairy at Faery Ink
I knew I had to have it. I'm a huge fan of Francis Ford Coppola's Bram Stoker's Dracula.
If you've every seen it you will surely remember the scene where Dracula pours Mina some Absinthe and says....
"Absinthe is the aphrodisiac of the self. The green fairy that lives in the Absinthe wants your soul, but you are safe with me." - Dracula
There is no way to watch this scene and not know how deeply this man feels for his Mina. WOW!
So here we are and here's my take on the amazing
ABSINTHE FAIRY by FAERY INK.

Okay, so I had the pleasure of working with this adorable digital image  from Stitchy Bear - Christmas Lights. I have to tell you, I fell in love with this image. It's almost like it was drawn for me. See I had the sweetest furbaby, spoiled mind you, but sweet.  And she loved to lay right down in the middle of whatever I was doing.

So when I saw this digital image these memories came flooding back. I cried a little and then giggled  remembering all the special rotten things this little monkey did for me including laying down in the  Christmas Lights.

I used my COPICS to color …

Monochromatic Colors with Eureka! Stamps Challenge Blog

It's Monday and that means it's time for a new challenge over at EUREKA! STAMPS CHALLENGE BLOG "MONOCHROMATIC"

Be sure to join us this week! Monochromatic is a great way to  showcase your favorite color from the brightest, boldest shade to the softest shade.
Here's the card I made using digital images 3906 - Smiling Spider and 11807- Drop On In

You can find both of these digital images by clicking the links above.
Here's a little inspiration for you! Hopefully, it will inspire to grab your favorite color  and give this challenge go!
This card is very easy to make if you have a Silhouette and Sketch Pens.  I just grabbed a web design that I liked from the Silhouette Studio, loaded a sharpie pen into my pen adapter and let the machine take it from there. I colored in the negative space with a black  copics marker.  It's just a matter of layering everything together after that. Finishing off with gray enamel dots.

Trio of Witch Hats with SVG Attic

Happy Friday everyone! Lisa, from In the Crafting Cave with Lisa, with you today sharing  a trio of Witch Hats. With Halloween right around the corner I thought I would  get started on a few items to decorate around the house. I used the Midnight Witch Hat from SDS Halloween Soiree Collection to create these hats. These would be perfect for  a Witch Party!  I'm using battery operated votives.  Another idea for this is to make them a bit smaller and put them on a string of Halloween lights.

I tried going all out with embellishments but it just seems to be a distraction for those  amazing star and moon cutouts.  So I followed the KISS method(keep it simple silly). And I love the way they turned out.
Their super simple to make. I used 6x6 papers and resized the hat to fit on the paper.  I actually cut two pieces at once by laying two pieces of 6x6 papers side by side on my mat.  I cut three of the inside pieces at once on a 8.5"x11" piece of vellum.  You can find more de…

Color My World With Crafty Gals Corner Challenge Blog

Happy Wednesday! It's time for a new challenge over at  CRAFTY GALS CORNER CHALLENGE BLOG  "ANYTHING GOES"
I have a really fun way to use the Silhouette Cameo and those Sketch Pens.  But first let me tell you about our two sponsors this week!  Be sure to check them out! I had the pleasure of working with Ella by The Paper Nest Dolls on my project. The Paper Nest Dolls Prize: $20 Gift Certificate and
Lemon Shortbread  Prize: 3 Digital Images

Now before we get into this project let me tell you something.  I love the sketch feature on my Silhouette Cameo. I do have the Silhouette Sketch Pens and  use them with no problems. However, I knew I wanted to have ink that I could color. So I purchased the Silhouette Pen Adapter. Love it. Now I can use Copic Multi Liners and Sharpies so I don't have to worry about ink smudging and ruining my projects.
Now that that's said let's get onto this card.  I knew as soon as I saw Ella what I wanted to do. And here's the secr…
