So Fancy with Victorine Originals

Hi, everyone and welcome! Today I'm over on the Victorine Originals Blog sharing a winter-themed card with you today. I know, we have one foot in Summer and here I am sharing a Winter-themed card with you. I will tell you a secret about myself, I'm not a Summer girl, never have been. I love Fall and Winter, it's the happiest time of the year for me. So, to say I had a little fun working with my Winter papers is an understatement.

I fell in love with this stamp when I saw it, she is just so Fancy, right? The stamp is called Lady with Three Dogs. And there is another one called Lady with Two Dogs that is Fabulous, too!

Didn't I tell you they are both Fabulous?

To create this card I stamped the image using Memento Ink Nautical Blue using a stamping tool, stamping the image twice. I like a sharp, dark image. Since I was going with a winter-theme,  because that coat screams winter, I decided to run the stamped image through my Xyron and covered it with glitter. Not just …

Taking It Back To the 1980's

Hello and welcome, everyone. Today I'm over on the Victorine Originals Blog sharing this 80's inspired card. Yes, I'm aging myself but I'm good with it. So, let's motor! You didn't really think you were going to get out of here without seeing some 80's slang, like, for real? And before we get too far along, I know someone is going to say that's not the lyrics to that song. I know, I wanted the sentiment to flow with the background, so I played around with it.

We're motoring again! HA! Sorry, I can't help myself. Now that you've seen the inspiration and the card let's talk about making it.

Red, White, and Blue Popcorn

Hi, everyone and welcome. Today I'm over on the Victorine Originals Challenge Blog sharing some inspiration for the new challenge - 4th of July!
I adore this Popcorn Stamp by Victorine Originals, it's so fun and whimsical. It truly inspired me to create these fun treat bags filled with red, white, and blue popcorn. These bags of popcorn make great gifts for the neighbors, to hand out while watching the fireworks, or a fun addition to your 4th of July party. The recipe is so easy, especially if you cheat a little like I did. 😜

To get us started on this fun adventure first we make treat tags. You can use any tag die-cut, but I used CAS-ual Fridays Tag Buddies Fri-Dies, Victorine Originals Dots Set along with Stampin Up Inks in Real Red and Pacific Point and of course, the star of this post the Popcorn Stamp
Print the sentiment, you can find it below, die-cut tags including the printed sentiments, stamp popcorn randomly on the larger tag, and color. I used COPIC Y11, R29, B1…

Moments Captured

Hi, everyone and welcome. I'm over on the SVG Attic Blog today sharing this box and a mini album with you. I used the JGW Sunflower Sunshine Kit's Hex Box to create the box and mini album.

I've had this paper in my stash for a very long time and it's been calling my name lately. To get started I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the Hex Box using two different patterns from the Echo Park "Oh, Snap" Kit. I do love paper kits because you usually get the coordinating stickers. And I did a lot of decorating with the stickers. Once I had the box assembled I moved onto the album.
You'll notice the Hex Box has a base "liner" used to reinforce the box. I used that liner to create the pages in my mini album. I even played around with three of the hexagons welding them together and then adding perforated lines and a cut line to create a three-page foldout.

Peas and Thank You

Hi, everyone and welcome! Today I'm over on the Victorine Originals Blog sharing a card featuring the Pea Pod Stamp from Victorine Originals and another punny sentiment. I refuse to drag Y'all down with me and the puns, so I'll just jump into the card and the how-to.

It seems most everything I make is quick and simple, this one is no different. I used DCWV The Basics 6x6 Paper Pad and DCWV DIY Project Stack Favor Boxes 12 x 12 Paper Pad. The sentiment, like most I do, is printed onto the color cardstock using my printer. I stamped the Pea Pods Stamp several times, no rhyme or reason, just do it. Color two peas in each pod with a green alcohol marker or watercolor pen then color the rest of the images with a light gray. The rest is die-cutting, I used stitched rectangle dies so I create layers. I die-cut the printed sentiment using a banner die. I added a little fun foam to create dimension between the second and third layers. I finished the card off with three enamel dots.

Easy, One-Layer Birthday Card

Hi, everyone and welcome! Today I'm over on the Victorine Originals Blog sharing a fun rainbow inspired birthday card with you today. Summer is upon us and everyone wants to be outside soaking up the sun and enjoying family time by the pool, right?  So today is all about keeping it simple with this one layer birthday card. This card is quick and simple, can be used for any occasion. So let's jump into this thing.

To create this card you need four things: ink, paper, stamping tool and the VO Dots Stamp Set.
A stamping tool makes life so much easier no matter what you are stamping but especially so when stamping with this overlay technique but no worries, you can achieve this with an acrylic block too.

Here's a close-up that really explains how to do this. Simply stamp the dot overlaying each color as you move your paper when using a stamping tool. The stamping tool has the grid-lines that allow you to align your paper and keep it straight while positioning it. I can't …

How Do You Use Patterned Papers?

Hi, everyone and welcome! The topic of today's post is patterned papers. If you are a paper crafter like myself, at some point in time you have probably hoarded patterned papers, right? It's okay to admit this. I mean I would be lying if I said I didn't have papers dating back to the late 90's, early 2000's in my stash right this second. Hey, someone has to do it. But at what point did you stop and say, "Alright, already, some of this has to be used" or maybe you haven't reached that stage just yet. No worries, it will happen. So what do you with all that patterned paper? Make pretties, of course!

I like to use patterned papers that don't have a busy pattern to stamp and color on. Yes, I color directly onto the patterned paper. You just have to be careful not to lay too much color down, especially, alcohol ink because it has a tendency to bleed. I've even lightly used Zig Clear Color Real Brush before, again with that light word. So, you shou…

Sweet, Sweet Summertime!

Hi, everyone and welcome! Today I'm over at the SVG Attic Blog sharing a few summer time gift ideas. Using the Basic Gift Bags,  JGW All About Daddy and JGW Motherly Moments Collections I created a gift card box, a card, and gift bag that can be used throughout the Summer.  I used a few elements from the Backyard Barbecue, too.

The gift card box is the same one I used in my last post and I'll say it again, EASY PEASY!  The grill is meant to be on the apron but I thought it would look cute on the box to cover the gift card. And the chef's hat was too fun not to use. I used my mini scoreboard to add score marks and a round die-cut for a few puffs on the top.

The bag is another quick go to when you need something in a hurry! It cuts in one piece and is so easy to, just fold and glue.
The patterned paper is Doodlebug Designs Inc. Patriotic Picnic.
